Improved friends list showcased in Xbox One demo video

Xbox One's streamlined social features make Xbox 360's friends list look decidedly unfriendly. Xbox Live's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb walks us through how Xbox One users can find, follow, and keep up with their buddies in this video posted today.

Xbox Live users can have up to 1,000 friends on Xbox One, and an unlimited number of followers--that is, folks who have added you as a friend, but you haven't added them back. This allows others to see a limited view of your profile and games based on your privacy setting.

Aside from new navigation features like search and favorites, the side-snapping social feed looks like a handy way to keep tabs on buddies for multiplayer meetups.

That seems cool, but I really don't like the square sterilized look that Microsoft has forced upon all of their products.

I like this idea. I wish they could have done something like this on Xbox 360.
