How Tron: Evolution fits in with its movie counterpart [VIDEO]

Tron: Evolution is connected to its movie counterpart, Tron: Legacy, in a big way. So much so, the film itself has been influenced by the game. Considering the subject matter, that's exactly the way it should be. Check out this brand new trailer, which contains never-before-seen gameplay footage.

The light cycle sections look very much like Extreme G 3, which is a Very Good thing, as our Top 7 Fastest games of all time will attest. The third-person action segments appear to combine classic superhero-style action with Prince of Persia's wall-running platform action.

It's all looking rather promising, although we do wish the light cyles were more like their old selves. There aren't many lethal 90-degree turns to be seen here.

Are you excited about the new game? And are you pre-ordering to get yourself a radio controlled light cycle? Let us know in the comments.

Will the daft punk soundtrack be featured in the game too?

I haven't anticipated the game myself, but this sparked interest.

I won't be playing the game but I am going to see the movie in 3d. Looks like a good movie to trip to.
