Horror movies that would make great games

Zombie Flesh Eaters

Quick Synopsis: A woman travels to the mysterious island of Matool to try and find her missing father - a scientist on an ill-fated research mission. As if the title wasn't a big enough giveaway, she discovers the island is infested with zombies. Most people get killed.

Why it would make a great game:

For three very simple reasons...

Zombie Vs Shark

Zombie eye gouging

Creepiest soundtrack ever

'Zombie Flesh Eaters opening theme' By Fabio Frizzi

Go listen to that on your own in a haunted house. In a wood. Built on an old Indian burial ground. Near a lunatic asylum.

Non-specific, Scary Clowns

Simply, there aren’t enough terror clowns in games. Which is why we need something like this...

Happy Halloween!

Interesting that Lucio Fulci's Zombi 2 is called Zombie Flesh Eaters also. Threw me off for a while.

ALright, just so you no, fort zombie is a game like the one you speak of. You can find a spot and hole up etc. Look it up and do your research next time.

The Shining as a video game would be pretty cool. And Shelley Duvall was totally running around with a knife in her hand. Like, where else would that come in handy other than in a video game? Hmm...Just thinking about talking to Tony though--just make sure Tony isn't like Navi. "Hey! Look! The guy that likes ice cream? Yeah, your dad just axed him in the gut. Hey! Watch out!" (press A to have Tony hide in your mouth).

I saw "the mist" the other day, it seemed like a pretty good idea to a make game of it, what with all the monsters it looked like they'de make for some good enemies.

"As far as we're aware, no-one has made a videogame where your enemies are mud-painted stone-age cannibals." RESIDENT EVIL 5 "Equally, no game designer has attempted to capture the repugnant grubbiness of 1970s exploitation cinema." HOUSE OF THE DEAD: OVERKILL
  • Collymilad - November 1, 2009 11:38 p.m.

Just make sure the cannibals in CH are white, or you'd be in all kinds of ****.

Qoute "Equally, no game designer has attempted to capture the repugnant grubbiness of 1970s exploitation cinema. Which is a missed opportunity in our view." I take this to mean that you didn't play House of the Dead:Overkill on the Wii then?
  • TheCatInTheHat - October 31, 2009 3:41 p.m.

Wow, now that I think of it, The Shining as a game sounds like it could work.
