Hideo Kojima directs new Castlevania trailer, hammers home what the story's about

If, like us, you suspected Castlevania had it's day in the lime-light over two decades ago, then you're wron-diddly-ong. Word on the shop floor here, from the magazines that are currently reviewing Castlevania: Lord of Shadows, is that it's bloody great. Then again, everything that Hideo Kojima and his Kojima Productions team touches seems to turn to gold. So to get you in the mood here's a special Kojima-san directed trailer from TGS to feast your eyes on. Enjoy.

The funny thing? Kojima only SUPERVISED the game. True credit should be given to the development team of Mercury Steam.

Kojima couldn't have that more epic if he tried, loved how even the voice actors names seemed so epic

I'm very excited about this game. I got Order of Ecleccia for DS and it absolutely thrashed me (hard games make my tummy ache!) but I still want this. The music in particular is epic.

The first time since Symphony of The Night I'm interested in a Castlevania game. Can't wait!

Looks pretty dope indeed... There were parts were the graphics were so good, I was'nt sure if it was in game or not. I still play Castlevania Bloodlines to this day, I hope this turns out well. Now hopefully, a new Contra game is on the horizon. Imagine, Contra in the Gears of War format... Or just do an HD remake (as the trend tends to be these days) of not only Contra 3 and Hards Corps, but also Castlevania Bloodlines and a few others in the series. Leave the music though. The music was JUSSST fine :)

Wait, why do the credits at the end say Hideo is a Chupacabra? So they DO exist! Between this game and the Ico/SotC remakes, I think I finally need to break down and get a PS3 slim. Damn you, Kevin Butler.
  • Oxtranzor - September 16, 2010 3:02 p.m.
