Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer star in first image from The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

The first image has arrived from Guy Ritchie’s forthcoming adaptation of classic TV series The Man From U.N.C.L.E., featuring our first look at stars Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer in action.

The duo are playing CIA agent Napoleon Solo and KGB agent Illya Kuryakin respectively, who are forced to team up in order to thwart the activities of a mysterious organisation.

The new image shows the pair looking fairly casual as they enjoy a rooftop drink in the company of Alicia Vikander, with all three sporting some natty ‘60s threads.

The film had initially been under the stewardship of Steven Soderbergh, while Tom Cruise has also been attached to star at one point, but scheduling issues meant that Ritchie and Cavill eventually took their respective positions.

Co-starring Elizabeth Debicki, Jared Harris and Hugh Grant, The Man From U.N.C.L.E. will open in the UK and US on 14 August 2015.
