Halo: Reach Multiplayer Map Guide

Reflection

Suggested Ability: Active Camouflage

Schwarzenegger won’t know what hit him

With its twisting ramps, wide corridors, and multiple levels, Reflection’s layout can make using your motion tracker unreliable. Flip on active camo when you are unsure of what’s around the corner or when you spot an opponent before they see you. It’s also handy to use when moving across the map’s wide open center.

Major Weapon Locations

The sniper rifle is on the high balcony. Take the central elevator to the top floor or use a jetpack to reach this area quickly.

The rocket launcher is smack dab in the middle of the Zen gardens. Scope the area before dropping down or risk landing in a prime grenade trap.

The sword is sitting in the koi ponds, just across the hallway that leads to the elevator.

Health Locations

Right behind the elevator shaft in the low hall

At the entrance, between the two doors

Map Tips

• The air elevators and the back rooms make for excellent ambush points or holdout areas. Just make sure not to stay long after your presence is known or you risk someone chucking a grenade in the room to keep you company.

• In the air vent room (lowest level) foes from above cannot throw grenades down at you and will have difficulty lining up any kind of effective shot. The single entrance gives you a good vantage point.

The pistol/alcohol combination on this table suggests a very Zen game of Russian Roulette is about to happen

• Hiding out in these back rooms will allow you to ambush players that are using the high-traffic hallways.

• Active camo plus sword is a lethal combination. It’s also a good idea to turn on active camo before you make a break for the koi pond where the sword rests.

• You can use active camo to give yourself time to line up that perfect sniper shot from just about anywhere. Just don’t camp where the sniper rifle spawns. Even if you are invisible, this is a high traffic area and you’ll likely be assassinated by someone looking for the rifle.

on the cage map the lower level is great for stratgey on teammate uses armor lock and sticky gernades while the other player hides near the ramp near the left.

The best strategy for Zealot in Slayer gametypes is to have your whole team go into space, especially if its a DMR mode. Have one player right under the central lift (yellow), one player standing in between the red and blue lifts on the raised area, and one player on each pillar next to the red and blue lifts. Any player from the other team that goes up a lift will be instantly visible to at least three players. Players that jetpack through the ground will be instantly visible to all players. Since there are no power weapons besides the sword (useless in space due to reduced speed), you will be near unstoppable. The only thing that should ever kill you is a needler, which will only kill one player, leaving you with three still up there while he returns. This takes a lot of teamwork to work. It is also probably the cheapest thing possible in a Halo game ever. However, it is hilarious to see the other team get absolutely murdered 50-0 and then hear little kids scream at you in the lobby for beating them so badly. The reward is definitely worth being a noob for a game.

Good guide, these tips are actually pretty helpful. I never would have thought to go for the hologram on Zealot.

Well i do prefer the Armor Lock ability over anything else. Trained with it in Beta and still running smoothly. Yet to have minus in my Kill/Death spread :)

Nice, I always like to know where to go. Also check out Bungie.net and look at their heatmaps, really good info on where to not find yourself during a match. Most of the time it looks like open areas are actually better with survivability compared to close quarter interior places but eh that's odd to see.

@Dragonflame I use Armor Lock as well. I need to get better with it though. Jetpack and Lock were the two things I primarely used in the beta.

Most people don't seem to know about not showing up on radar when crouched, period! >.>
  • FlyinHawaiian13 - September 18, 2010 6:33 p.m.

People don't seem to know that they show up on the radar when they use the elevator on Reflections. Even if your crouched you still show up so if you're on the balcony sniping one stick should take care of them.
