Live-action lead up to Halo 4 will debut a new episode each week until release

The first episode of live-action web series Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn went live today, showing backstory of the Halo universe before and after humanity's war with the Covenant. The first episode is available both on Halo Waypoint and on Machinima's YouTube channel, and is embedded below.

The five-part series covers the tribulations and growth of a group of United Nations Space Command cadets as the Master Chief's desperate struggle against the Covenant inspires their own actions. Further episodes will go live on each Friday leading up to the release of Halo 4 on November 6.

Yeck. Where'd they get the actors? A high school? But other than that, it was pretty alright... Some dodgy effects though.

That was purdy darn good. A little poor on some of the acting, but great cinematography. Excited to see where it goes.

Could this be added to the best video game movies you guys made a while back? Just this one episode is better than every single movie on that list.
