GT Pro Series - hands-on

GT does present itself as a cartoon-shaded racer, a style that's been attempted with this genre before but never really caught on. It certainly doesn't detract from anything, but it'll be interesting to see how the grease monkeys take to the presentation.

Our trip through GT's many courses left us feeling confident in Wii's contribution to the racing scene. All the essentials are here for a perfectly serviceable title that'll play well with the "gimme gameplay" crowd, but still might ensnare more tech-minded racers who like to shift from regular street racing to the arduously demanding drift style. Four-player races could extend the party life of the game a bit as well.

GT Pro Series should be in stores on or around November 19, right alongside Ubi's other free-wheel-in-the-box Monster 4x4: World Circuit.
