GR+ Live at SDCC 2015: The Burton/Nic Cage Superman film that never was

Not even the combined might of Tim Burton and Nicolas Cage could save the ill-fated film Superman Lives, a distinctly unique take on the Superman mythos featuring Christopher Walken as Brainiac, a neon-lit Superman suit and plenty more shocking, strange ideas. The Internet at large has largely condemned the film (despite the fact that it was cancelled weeks before filming), but filmmaker Jon Schnepp decided to give it a second chance.

His film The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened? explores the failed attempt to reboot Superman years before either Superman Returns or Man of Steel hit theaters. Would it have been the trainwreck so many thought it would've been, or a revolutionary vision ahead of its time?
