El Matador - Ole
A reasonably easy challenge, as long as you've got the proper technique down. In this room, you have to kill a few rounds of Minotaurs and soldiers without being gored by the former or grabbed by the latter. The simplest way to achieve this is to use LI circle on the horny a-holes (this breaks up the Minotaur's gore attack), and L1 square on the soldiers (which will knock most of them away). The grab attack you use on the Minotaurs will also most likely knock them out of the arena if you repeat it enough. When you get to the final round - that contains both Minotaurs and soldiers - just press the analogue sticks to start the Rage of the Gods, then spam the triangle attack. This should kill most of the baddies, leaving you with the simple task of clearing the others up with the techniques from the previous rounds.
Pretty easy this one. Here, Kratos is tasked with scoring 1000 points in 60 seconds by knocking enemies out of the arena while riding a Cyclops. The crucial thing is getting on the brute as quickly as possible. Before he appears, you’ll see a black cloud of smoke rise up. This is where he’ll spawn, so immediately focus a Spirit of Hercules combo (hit triangle three times) on this point. The combo should hurt him big style and a few more hits will give you the QTE prompt you need to ride him.
Once you’re on your massive mate, just keeping going around the arena in a clockwise or anticlockwise direction spamming the square attack. Make sure to keep close to the edge to knock as many enemies out as possible. Don’t worry about the Minotaurs or Wraiths, just focus on the soldiers and you’ll be fine.
The only thing between you and another completed challenge is loads and loads of armoured Cyclops. Sounds daunting, right? Don’t worry, it’s actually pretty straightforward. As long as you keep using Plume of Prometheus (square, square, triangle) you shouldn’t have too much trouble. When the first Cyclops spawns, keep using PoP to knock him out of the arena. This will then cause two of his friends to spawn. Try to keep them close together by immediately hitting them with PoP. Repeat the technique and you should force at least one of them out of the arena. More Cyclops will then spawn, and it’s simply a case of repeating this technique. Once you’ve killed five the challenge will end.
One last push and that lovely gold trophy will be yours. This final challenge is thankfully really easy. All you have to do is destroy 30 urns in 20 seconds. The crucial thing is to either gently tap square to take out single urns in a surgical fashion or use the Plume of Prometheus to take out several at once. Want you don’t want to do is spam square, as you’ll likely miss most of the urns doing this. Go around the arena in a clockwise direction mixing single square attacks with PoP and you should do this within a couple of tries.
If you’ve followed these tips you should now be the proud owner of the hardest gold trophy in the game. You’ll also most likely be in touching distant of that Platinum pot, so good luck. Oh, and if anyone suggests spending hours of your life trying to get a single trophy is a waste of time, just do what Kratos would do. On seconds thoughts, being a bit less homicidal might be an idea.
