Ghost Rider will set fire to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 4 and here's what the cast had to say about it

Nicolas Cage is joining Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Only joking, that's not happening. But Ghost Rider is joining season 4 of the show and will be played by Gabriel Luna. He's going to be a bit different from the movie/Nic Cage version fans are used to though as it will be the Marvel NOW! comic incarnation - aka Robbie Reyes not Johnny Blaze.

Reyes becomes the Ghost Rider when his dead uncle/Satanic serial killer brings him after he’s gunned down in the street. He then has to has to manage juggling homework and caring for his disabled brother with satiating the Spirit of Vengence’s thirst for murder. Sounds tough.

The news came during San Diego Comic Con so when I interviewed the cast about the upcoming season, there was only one thing I wanted to know.

Obviously they can't say much yet - although it was worth asking for Chloe Bennet and Elizabeth Henstridge's singing and dancing routine alone! - but from the sounds of things Ghost Rider is going to cross the boundary between good and bad and S.H.I.E.L.D. will have to get involved.

We do know that in his first episode he'll be spending a lot of time with Daisy who left S.H.I.E.L.D. after the terrible events of season 3. One thing I can't wait to see is how the effects team create that burning skull!

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 4 premiere on September 20, 2016.
