Gears of War 3 Season Pass announced, first DLC coming in November

Looking to enlist with Gears of War 3 for a full tour? Epic Games and Microsoft today revealed the arrival of a Gears of War 3 DLC 'Season Pass' which will allow players to reserve the first four add-ons at a discounted rate, plus receive a members-only 'Liquid Metal Weapon Set'.

Following in the footsteps of the L.A. Noire's Rockstar Pass and Mortal Kombat’s Season Pass, the special ticket offers 33% off the first four nuggets of DLC goodness, the first of which will arrive this November. According to Microsoft, the Pass will cost 2,400 Microsoft Points (US$30), whereas purchasing all the DLC separately will set fans back 3,600 (US$45). The bonus Liquid Metal Weapons Set will include what looks to be a collection of shiny, re-skinned Gears of War 3 weapons like this Liquid Metal Lancer:

The Gears of War 3 Season Pass will be available when the game launches on September 20 for Xbox 360. Too damn impatient to wait? Fill the gap by watching 20 minutes from the main campaign or reading our campaign interview with Epic's executive producer Rod Fergusson.
