War Journal #14 – “Gear’s Journal”
Encounter your first rock worm and then follow the path forward. Notice that grindlift in the distance? That’s where the journal awaits you. To access it, you’ll need to keep moving ahead and watch for a vine-covered entry on the left. Cut through the vines with your chainsaw and grab the journal between the two corpses.
War Journal #15 – “Kantus Scroll” After practicing your sniping skills on the marching Locust, you’ll arrive in a wide open camp and fight more enemies. Before running through the giant door at the end, search along the low outer wall on the right edge of camp. A scroll is sitting next to an ammo crate.
War Journal #16 – “Locust Emblem”

Kill your first Locust Kantus (the one with the annoying scream) and enter your first Locust structure. Immediately inside - to the right and next to a big torch - is the war journal and an ammo crate.
War Journal #17 – “Ilima City Help-Wanted Ad”After encountering a scared Stranded, you’ll run downhill through the destroyed city. Reach flat terrain and hug the right edge of the level’s path. See the low brick wall to the right? Jump over that, walk to the overturned car and check the ground behind for the journal.
War Journal #18 – “COG Tag”

Hey, Cole’s back! After the cutscene, your squad will stroll through a fiery door ahead. Veer slightly to the left instead and you’ll pass through a different entrance. In the flame-covered room is a dead soldier with war journal tags still on his person.
War Journal #19 – “Stranded’s Journal - Jennifer” Hey, Baird’s back! Follow the squad downhill until you enter a cavern with prison bars in one corner. Stick to the right, go past the torch and look behind the crate for the war journal.
War Journal #20 – “Car Gold Magazine” At the very beginning of this mission, while the squad is still discussing the disgusting situation, check under the broken freeway overpass on your left. The war journal is almost impossible to miss.
War Journal #21 – “COG Tag”

As soon as you start running from the “debris wall” (a nice euphemism for “worm shit”), watch the left side of the path for a set of COG tags. The saddest war journal in the game.
