GamePolitics reports: On Tuesday GamePolitics broke the news that Morgan Creek Productions had filed suit against Nintendo on June 12th over the use of the Hans Zimmer song You're So Cool in a 2004 commercial for GameCube hit Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. The tune was part of the soundtrack of Morgan Creek's 1993 film True Romance.

As we also reported, the suit was voluntarily dismissed just six days later.

Now we know why: inept lawyering on the plaintiff's part.

To Wii or not to Wii? That is the nagging, fan-angering question provoked by Nintendo's dithering back and forth as to just how we'll be playing Super Paper Mario. One second it's a GameCube exclusive, the next it might be on the Wii as well, and now there's speculation that it's a Wii exclusive. The trailer was beautiful, but it always seemed suspicious that Super Paper Mario was set for release on a "lesser" console right around the time that Wii is expected to launch. Now comes word that there will be no GameCube release for SPM, and that the title will jump directly to Wii.
