It seems Capcom is quite taken with this new gameplay style, as it's designed an entire separate game around it. The Mercenaries mode puts Leon and other figureheads from RE4 inside an arcade-style gore fest where the only goal is killing armies of the blood-soaked villagers and their cloaked friends. Simply put, Resident Evil 4 is the tightest, most accessible game in the series and one of the best games out there.

  • Minigames and other goodies
You'll hate
  • Still some implausible puzzles
  • A few more bosses would have rocked
  • Leon's head popping off
