Jake Gyllenhaal has been confirmed to play the prince in Jerry Bruckheimer's movie based on the Prince of Persia games.Mike Newell, who directed Donnie Brasco and the forth Harry Potter movie, will take up directing duties, whilst Gemma Arterton (Bond girl to be in Quantum of Solace) will be the princess.Gyllenhaal will play Dastan, a young prince in Persia who joins forces with Tamina (Arterton) to prevent a nobleman ... » Read More

Michael Bay is being linked with the forthcoming flick based on Ubisoft's Prince of Persia videogames. Movie website IESB.net reports that Walt Disney Studios (Walt Disney Pictures is co-producing the movie with Jerry Bruckheimer Films) is "hopeful" that the film director "will indeed direct the picture" after concluding directorial duties on the Transformers movie out this summer.
