Extra Characters

Smoke - Successfully complete the game in event mode as Lufi, Nami, Zolo, Sanji, and Usop. Then use Lufi to complete event mode again.
Tashigi - Successfully complete the game in event mode as Lufi, Nami, Zolo, Sanji, and Usop. Then complete event mode again with each of those characters except Lufi
Aokiji - Clear Event Battle with Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Chopper, Robin, Buggy, Kuro, Krieg, Arlong, Smoker, Bon Clay, Crocodile, and Foxy. Then play Event Battle again with Luffy and beat Aokiji with a level 2 special to unlock Aokiji.
Enel - After clearing event battle with Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Chopper, and Robin complete some of there move lists in training mode. A picture should flash by of Enel challanging you, go to Grand Tours (tournament mode) and just play a regular tournament, one of the characters will be replaced with Enel, beat Enel and win the tournament to unlock Enel.
Shanks - Clear Event Battle with Luffy on the Very Hard difficulty after unlocking all previous characters including Enel and Aokiji.
Mihawk - Clear Event Battle with Zoro on Hardest difficulty. Beat Mihawk with Zoro's level 2 special after getting hit with Mihawk's level 2 special. You must unlock all other character before this including Enel, Aokiji, and Shanks.
Ms. Sunday (Nico Robin) - Beat normal with all characters, then beat it again with Kuro, or, beat normal with Kuro last.
Tony Tony Chopper - Beat hard with Nami, or beat hard mode with every character, then Nami.
Mr. 2 Bon Clay - To unlock Mr. 2 bon clay, the following conditions must be met. Characters one thru fourteen must be unlocked - that is, the default characters plus four hidden characters, including Ms. Sunday, Tony tony chopper, Red Haired Shanks and Hawk - Eye Mihawk. Then, use Sanji in Story Mode (at any difficulty level) and enter this secret command while the ending credits are running:
Hold L and push A, A, X, A, left, A, X, B, A, X, Y, X, A, R, R, left

Stages

Maxim Stage - Clear Event Battle with Enel.
Groggy Ring - Win 3 events in Davy Back Fight mode 3 times.
Marine HQ stage - After unlocking EVERYONE complete their move lists in training mode and after doing so destroy all the pillars in the stage. Do this with every character to unlock the stage.

Unlock new costumes for The Straw Hats

After unlocking Shanks and Mihawk, complete the entire move set for all The Straw Hat Pirates in Training Mode to unlock a third costume for them inspired by the Color Walk books.

One Piece Hints

Gum Gum Scythe Attack Add-Ons

To get extra attack add-ons for Luffy's Gum Gum Scythe Attack, when you use this attack you must have over four fruits. Then, when you attack, after your opponent hits the wall, press circle and you will hit your opponent in the air. Then keep pressing circle. Then you will do another add-on. You will hit them in the air. Then keep pressing circle. Then for the final attack add-on, you will hit them up again again Luffy will count down, 3 2 1. then he will yell and twist like a spiral and bounce up and smash your opponent throught the roof of the building. If you KO your opponent doing this trick you will see the building fall around Luffy, and he will say, " I'm gonna be King of the Pirates!" And you will win. Note: this trick works well with over four fruits and if your opponent health is down a little bit past halfway.

Change Sanji's Secret Attack

If Sanji is fighting Nami or Miss Sunday (or it may just be Nami) if you perform his secret attack he says different stuff, and in the end, his eyes become hearts (if you kill them with the secret attack, the complete one, in the end he'll go "I wish we could've spent more time together," while hearts are floating around him.)

If, in a fight, you press one of the D-pad buttons, it will either change something about the character's appearence, or perform a taunt.

Mini Game Hints

1: Box Crusher- Hawk-Eye Mihawk is the best guy for this game
2: Breaking Krieg's Armor- Buggy the Clown is the best guy for this
3: Snow Shovel- Buggy the Clown is the best for this if you use his R Circle x combo "Chop Chop Buggy" to plow the snow
4: Usopp Race- As long as you use a support character when it gets overwhelming, you'll be good to go
5: Battle Bowl- Use the faster characters in the game (such as Kuro, Chopper, of Mihawk) to grab the chest before the other guy

This is for the American version. First, go to the title screen then hold the R button while entering these codes. (If you mess up entering these codes press start then back to the title screen.) You"ll hear a ding if you entered correctly then release the R and view the costume. Make sure to press the buttons quickly!
