So it's got 23 playable characters and a new four-player beatdown mode, but what else is new? Actually... not a lot. We saw a lot of the same fighting backdrops from the first game pop up once again, and like we said earlier, the basic gameplay is the same. Granted, a four-player versus mode is a sweet addition, and Naruto fans will love seeing Gaara, Hinata Hyuga and Shikamaru, but an enhanced combo system wouldn't hurt.

Outside of the versus mode, Ninja 2 has several single-player options to paly around with. Training, time attack, story mode and a shopping center to unlock bonus content all make their standard appearance, but there's also a demo theater where you can pit computer-controlled characters against each other to analyze their fighting styles. That's sort of like a real ninja school, right?

Clash of Ninja 2 hits in September, just in time for the next season of the show to hit Cartoon Network.
