GC - Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker - The Zelda Marathon in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters The intent of The Zelda Marathon is to raise funds in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters St. Catharines – Thorold & District. The funds will directly support their organization by aiding in the production of future fundraising efforts, helping their mentorship programs and making successful mentorship matches.

The event will begin Nov.27th at 6 p.m. Eastern Time and will end when we have completed all 7 games. We will be playing : The Legend of Zelda, The Adventure of Link, A Link To The Past, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, The Wind Waker and The Twilight Princess. Also, we are very excited to announce that we will be playing and broadcasting LIVE from Big Brothers Big Sisters Headquarters in St. Catharines. This is going to add such a wonderful element to the marathon, and will also afford some of the Little Brothers the chance to come help us play the games!

For every major donation goal we hit, there will be a corresponding punishment or act of entertainment that we are committed to doing (Refer to the donation goal list HERE:http://thezeldamarathon.com/donation-schedule/)

Sept 28, 2007 Nintendo currently owns four of the top 10 best-selling franchises in the video game world. Number one? Of course it's Mario, the bouncy platform king everyone knows. Nipping at his heels are 493 super-powered Pokemon. Charging right behind them, however, is one lone figure riding atop his tireless steed, sword held high in utter triumph and hard-nosed defiance against all other comers. So, even though Mario and Pokemon outrank Link by a wide margin, the latter's mindshare and ... » Read More

Mention Link today and most people will envisage the young wolf boy that inhabits Twilight Princess complete with his signature sword, shield and green tunic. And while theres no denying that this is certainly the best Link has ever looked, hes come along way since he first graced our consoles way back in 1986. Of course it comes as no surprise that Link has taken on a wealth of different looks over his years of adventuring and exploring. He began his adventures as a tiny sprite in The Legend ... » Read More

Britain's best independent Nintendo mag wants you to get involved with the shaping of a classic. What things, according to you, can The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker 2 simply not do without? What would you like to see? What improvements over the original? What brand new ideas? Do you want the sequel to have a darker, more sinister atmosphere - like Majora's Mask compared to Ocarina of Time? A greater sense of epic scale, perhaps? A game that returns to Zelda's land-based roots and forgoes all that ... » Read More

GC News | Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
Nintendo will release new Mario and Zelda games this year for Gamecube - at least, if current industry rumours are to be believed. The widely talked about Mario 128 has been an on/off project ever since it was first unveiled as little more than a tech demo at the Spaceworld games show in 2000. It was originally mooted as the follow-up to Mario 64, although sequel honours eventually went to Mario Sunshine. At the end of 2002, Nintendo guru Shigeru Miyamoto stated that he was again hard at work on ... » Read More
