Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance

Strategy you won't be able to stop thinking about

The Fire Emblem series is an utterly traditional one, but by being so unwilling to evolve it illustrates exactly how engaging conventional gameplay can be. This is a polished, speedy, and addictive strategy game, with a lot of subtle attention paid to every element. The result is that it provides the most seamless turn-based battle experience you can find on game consoles. While the presentation and lack of innovation may not wow you, you'll be sucked in by just how well judged every element of the gameplay is.

You'll love
  • Speedy and simple, yet engrossing, strategy
  • Likable characters and epic story
  • Refined interface makes playing easy
You'll hate
  • Mediocre graphics aren't so epic
  • Character customization factor is low
  • If someone dies in battle, they're dead. Reset!
