GRAW back for more

Friday 8 December 2006
Ubisoft has announced that it will be releasing Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in March.

Set in 2014 the game sees the Special-Ops team back in action in order to counter the threat from the Mexico/US border where rebels are attempting to bring their brand of chaos and destruction to US soil. It's up to futuristic Ghost squad with their upgraded Integrated Warfighter System to protect the 1,900 mile border.

GRAW2 will visit new locations as the Ghosts battle the rebels on the enemy turf of El Paso as well in the surrounding hills and deserts. Groundbreaking visuals will be used to bring the action to life with outstanding particle and lighting effects being used to continually change the battlefield as it is altered by explosions and the oppressive elements.

The enemy AI has been improved to provide a tougher single-player challenge with the Rebels organised enough to outflank the Ghost Team. Fortunately the AI of your team-mates has also been improved so rest assured they'll have your back.

Other improvements include the Cross-Com system which has been upgraded so not only will you see what friendly forces will see in the top left of the screen, but you'll be able to expand this to a full screen view in order to get better look a proceedings.

The game will also include a new medic soldier class who is able to heal the whole team, air strikes from jets and mobile cover in the shape of an unmanned artillery MULE.

We'll have loads more on GRAW 2 after the weekend as we recently visited Ubisoft's Paris studios to get the low-down on this incredible sequel. In the meantime here are the first few shots - and click on the movies tab to see the explosive teaser trailer.
