You know games are taking over your life when...

We heart games. You heart games. But sometimes a dangerous line is crossed and our passionate hobby becomes an outright obsessive occupation. And that's when things can get ugly and/or unhealthy. That's when you need to take a step back and explore that wonderful world outside your window. Go shopping, kick a ball around or, hell, even talk to friends without using a headset. But how do you know when games are taking over your life?

A few sure-fire indications would be, say, indulging in the 'fine-line' world of cosplay, amassing a mathematically intimidating Xbox 360 gamerscore, having a Nintendo tattoo covering your entire back, ordering a console-oriented wedding cake for your Big Day... that kind of thing. But there are more. 10 more, in fact (actually there's 11, but the one about the boy getting humped by a dog is stretching it a bit far).

So, are games taking over your life? Well, if any of the following examples of rabid gaming compulsion disorder strike a slightly off-key chord with you, then we'd suggest you need to get out more...

I don't have the energy to really hate anything properly. Most things I think are OK or inoffensively average. I do love quite a lot of stuff as well, though.
