Three HUGE months for gamers

Halo 3 touches down September 26, GTA IV takes over town on October 19 and now it's been confirmed by Ubisoft that the swelteringly anticipated Assassin's Creed will be pushing its way through the crowds for a worldwide release on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in November. That's three massive games in three consecutive months.

And while Ubisoft's stealthy killer will certainly have its work cut out following in the trail of Halo and GTA, the game's publisher/developer is confident that Assassin's Creed will be able to hold its own against the more established competition: "
It is going to be a busyperiod with these two big hitters," an Ubi rep told us. "But we are confident that Assassin's Creed has the pedigree to stand-out from the crowd - the reactionso far from press and public attests to this."

Certainly what we've seen of Assassin's Creed has us anticipating great things, but we'll have more of a definitive verdict when we get a first hands-on with the game at E3 in July. In the meantime, check out all ourAssassin's Creed coverage here.

Right now, though, we're going to be busy squirrels stockpiling food and essential supplies, because we know that this tri-force of potentially ass-kicking triple A titles is going to keep us house-bound for some considerable time.

I don't have the energy to really hate anything properly. Most things I think are OK or inoffensively average. I do love quite a lot of stuff as well, though.
