Perhaps I was expecting too much, but these sales really aren't as good as I thought they'd be...

Ugh, Black Friday. This year I'm actually advocating the use of a more accurate name for it: November Fool's Day. Spread the word.
  • D0CCON - November 12, 2012 5:04 p.m.

$8 for Dead Island GOTY and $9 for Max Payne 3 are sure-fire buys, but there isn't a ton here for me (although those two games combined are still cheaper than the one $20 copy of LA Noire that I got last Black Friday).
  • D0CCON - November 12, 2012 5:04 p.m.

And Steam will likely have some good stuff.
  • Marteo Broter - November 12, 2012 5:14 p.m.

Maybe I'll bite on Forza Horizon for $15 from walmart, if it's still in stock by the time I wake up. Which it probably won't.
  • FierceVoltage - November 12, 2012 6:22 p.m.

You said the PS3 bundle at Toys R Us is 129.99 but the ad says 199.99?
  • FierceVoltage - November 12, 2012 6:24 p.m.

    Lego Batman: Arkham City?
  • winner2 - November 12, 2012 6:27 p.m.

Personally I don't think the prices are worth the hassle. Crazy fuckin bitches everywhere on black friday. I remember someone got charged with attempted murder of a fetus last year for beating up a pregnant lady for a toy or something.
  • Fox_Mulder - November 12, 2012 9:25 p.m.

Awesome. Wal-Mart's got X-COM for $25 and AC 3 for $40. Wal-Mart is the devil, but I'll have to bite the bullet.
  • ObliqueZombie - November 13, 2012 8:33 p.m.

*Sits back in chair, awaits Steam/GMG/GoG/Impulse sales*
  • letric5 - November 14, 2012 3:19 p.m.

What ever happened to Halo 4 for like $35 bucks. Seriously Microsoft no love for Black Friday apparently you and 2K Games don't want a reduced price Black Friday deal of Halo 4 or Borderlands 2 for 360 seriously now. Honestly if somebody is willing to get up at 12 am. I believe they deserve a copy of any game they could possibly want for basically half price. Also don't forget you have to get into a line to get into the store at like 4 pm the previous day also. If you can survive that I gotta hand it to you, you kind of deserve a copy of any game for a reduced price honestly.
  • letric5 - November 14, 2012 3:33 p.m.

I really don't want to go through all the hassle of Walmart just to get Borderlands 2 though. Just might have to bite the bullet here though seeing as Best Buy will not have it also apparently Gamestop is not doing any Black Friday console deals or anything as of now.
  • CrashmanX - November 15, 2012 12:20 p.m.

I'm curious if Steam is going to do any Black Friday sales. Seeing Borderlands 2 everywhere for $35 and less makes me really tempted to pick it up, but I don't want it for consoles. Gotta have it on PC.
  • Person5 - November 15, 2012 3:07 p.m.

For 95% of everything I want I'll just wait, maybe wake up at the crack of noon, and get to work on Steam. The sales there will probably be better than anything you find at Wal Mart. Maybe find a cheap copy of Forza Horizon for my xbox online (who goes to stores anymore?) and maybe a 3DS game to help justify its purchase.
  • ZuzuPachulia - November 23, 2012 1:34 a.m.

I dunno, im not seeing lots of those amazon games
  • ZuzuPachulia - November 23, 2012 1:37 a.m.

Ack, nvm. Never saw they actually DID have a whole schedule. Thought it was just speculation
