Gameloft's Link-alike iOS adventure gets named and trailer'd

Blah, blah, blah Gameloft. Yadda, yadda, yadda Zelda clone. Now that we have the formalities out of the way, perhaps you'd like a look at the promising announcement trailer for Gameloft's upcoming action-RPG epic, Sacred Odyssey: Rise of Ayden, coming soon to iPhones, iPads and Androids.

Billing itself as the most "ambitious Action RPG ever released on the iOS," Sacred Odyssey tells the tale of a young warrior hand selected by a god to collect a bunch of things, kill a lot of creatures and protect the Kingdom of Lasgalen from a pesky apocalypse. You know, the usual. As evidenced by the video below, the game will be heavily -ahem- %26ldquo;inspired%26rdquo; by Nintendo's Zelda series; at least where its music, elemental dungeons, horseback riding, character designs, item utilization, themes and swordplay are concerned.

Sacred Odyssey: Rise of Ayden is due out in early 2011. No firm date or pricing details have yet been confirmed. Know Your Mobile has discovered that Gameloft will is looking at releasing the game for Android systems, along with a handful of other games from its back catalog.
