GamePolitics reports: On Tuesday GamePolitics broke the news that Morgan Creek Productions had filed suit against Nintendo on June 12th over the use of the Hans Zimmer song You're So Cool in a 2004 commercial for GameCube hit Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. The tune was part of the soundtrack of Morgan Creek's 1993 film True Romance. As we also reported, the suit was voluntarily dismissed just six days later. Now we know why: inept lawyering on the plaintiff's part.

Good news and bad news from the Mushroom Kingdom. On the fantastic side, we've got final confirmation on the platform-spanning, Super Paper Mario. What was once touted as a GameCube exclusive is now officially Wii bound, giving Mario fans tired of reliving old adventures much to rejoice about. Huzzah indeed. But it's not all sunshine. The email we received was in the form of a wedding invitation announcing the unholy union of none other then Peach and - gasp - Bowser. Say it ain't so,

To Wii or not to Wii? That is the nagging, fan-angering question provoked by Nintendo's dithering back and forth as to just how we'll be playing Super Paper Mario. One second it's a GameCube exclusive, the next it might be on the Wii as well, and now there's speculation that it's a Wii exclusive. Nintendo doesn't seem to know what's going on; leading us to make plans to hijack the next Ask Iwata session to squeeze answers from the head honchos. Just how much uncertainty has Nintendo's waffling

The trailer was beautiful, but it always seemed suspicious that Super Paper Mario was set for release on a lesser console right around the time that Wii is expected to launch. Now comes word that there will be no GameCube release for SPM, and that the title will jump directly to Wii.

Wednesday 10 May 2006 While Wii and DS might have dominated the Nintendo conference, the good old GameCube hasn't been forgotten, not when the very first news and screens for the previously unseen Super Paper Mario have unfolded in our hands. Already described by our very own, highly excitable Matt Cundy as "even more papery than ever before," Nintendo is promising that the game will once again dance between the dimensions, feature eight separate worlds and allow you to take control of both
