A while ago Sony promised that "the PS Vita launch will be supported by the biggest campaign we've ever executed". It looks like they made their first move with the PS Vita making an appearance in the new Resident Evil Retribution trailer.

Some video game movies are...OK. Most are terrible. Why is that? Allow a guy who makes video game movies for a living (try and) explain. Paul W.S. Anderson has been involved with every Resident Evil movie since the first one all the way back in 2002, and thinks the reason most game adaptations suck is simple: a lack of knowledge. A lot of video game movies are made by directors who don't know the video games they are based on from a hole in the head, he told MCV. They don't do justice to the games, they don't immerse themselves in the games, they don't understand what people liked from the games. And that is the wrong approach and clearly those movies don't work. You can fool people once, you know. I was excited to see the Tomb Raider movie the first time it came out. I saw it, it wasn't very good, I wasn't very excited to go and see the second film. I think with Resident Evil it is very telling that each movie has done better than the one before.

Rely on horror: Capcom is asking the community from their Resident Evil Facebook page how are they doing with the series. They want to know how the fans feel about current games, upcoming, and what we want to see in the future from the long running series.

Rely on Horror: Celebrating Resident Evils 15th Anniversary, also known as Biohazard in Japan, Capcom Japan has partnered with the Kichijoji based EA Shooting Bar (Not to be confused with Electronic Arts) to build this one-of-a-kind shooting bar for fans to enjoy.

The announcement of Resident Evil: Raccoon City has come and gone, but with it came the huge theme of changing Resident Evil history. While not officially changing the canon, Raccoon City aims to allow players to kill Leon Kennedy. His elegantly conditioned mane can be taken down by the player by choice. This will allow for gamers to alter the already established history without any time paradox occurring.

OXCGN: Resident Evil is a series that I never particularly had a taste for. The fifth iteration of the main series was the first title I played, and it attracted me mainly for the cooperative aspect. This year is the fifteenth anniversary of the franchise, and Capcom has released a wealth of new information about the series.
