Monday 12 June 2006 Here's an excellent fan video that's popped up on YouTube.com, featuring a series of scraps between Nintendo's biggest characters and staged within the confines of a WWE game. As if Nintendo's Super Smash Bros games didn't feature enough crossover carnage already, a dedicated follower of both game series has brought Mario, Pikachu, Kirby, Wario and others - including a brilliantly realised Zero Suit Samus - to life via the character editing options of a WWE game. Be sure

The annual Game Critics Award winners have finally been released, much to the elation and delight of the winners and the certain soul-crushing dismay of those who didn't quite take home the trophy. We would mention how surprised we are that Excite Truck managed to pull in best racing game honors or that Wii Sports has trumped publisher Electronic Arts' sports dynasties Madden and NCAA Football, as well as the NBA 2K series from 2K Sports - but given that Wii managed to pull in best of show, it

Though an informal poll of the GamesRadar editorial staff recently determined that half of us hate monkeys, you can rest assured that nobody can resist the charms of Super Monkey Ball. Super Monkey Ball Adventure does exactly what it says: takes the ball-rolling wackiness of the original series and sticks it in a fully-realized world for the monkeys to explore. These new screenshots showcase that world, as well as the colorful characters you'll meet. They even show off some of the minigames -

Will there ever be a point where we all just stop caring about these damn movies? You know you're going to suck it up and by the original trilogy on DVD this fall... which means LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy is probably on your shopping list too. Weve got four new screens of the destructible, rebuild-able tikes from the game, so please, feel free to hit the images tab up above to check them

We got some curious footage of the Rayman development team apparently under siege by nefarious rabbits - or rather, "rabbids." We'd heard that Rayman Raving Rabbids was about bunnies wreaking havoc on the Rayman world, but we had no idea that they had escaped the development environment to harass real, flesh-and-blood people in France. We've picked up a few new screens of these hateful hares in their "natural" digital environment (which Ubisoft has confirmed is Wii along with "current and

This year's Electronic Entertainment Expo held more than its share of surprises - however, there are few in this year's Game Critics Award nominee list, released today. We're not sure how Heavenly Sword ended up in the Fighting game category when God of War II is Action/Adventure (the GamesRadar US ballot had them both in A/A), but overall, this is an excellent list of this year's best of the best of the best - at least at this point in their development cycles. The graphically astonishing

GamesRadar's more studious, business-focused sibling Next Generation (www.next-gen.biz) has been kind enough to remind us what games we're all slavering to dash into stores and pick up this week. We recommend checking out the NextGen shopping list by clicking here (it'll open in a new window). However, we'd also suggest you should wait until later this week, when you've read GamesRadar's full-sized reviews of each game before slapping down your hard-earned mad money on any particular title.

E3. It's the biggest, loudest, most surprising video gaming convention of the entire year, a cacophony of madness that overloads at least three of your senses - sometimes four, unfortunately. It's naturally packed with more games than any one gamer could ever hope to possess and play, but that's where we come in. We've spent hours first playing each and every one we could and then arguing to the brink of violence about which was best. Then, we made lists for

Lately, we've seen a lot of movie-based games that try to expand on - instead of directly adapt - the story of the film they're based on. The Godfather did it, Over the Hedge did it and this summer, Cars will do it. Picking up where the movie left off, Cars casts players as red stock-car Lightning McQueen and sets them loose to explore the colorful desert town of Radiator Springs.

Wednesday 17 May 2006 So, that was E3 2006. The most manic week of the gaming calendar has hurtled by once again in a tornado of news and a frenzy of game playing. Now, as relative calm returns and the chaos slowly seeps away, we look back on the big games, the big announcements, the highlights and the disappointments. Much of the week's hottest news happened before the doors had opened on E3, with Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft all making some big announcements at their pre-show
