  • After the gaming blizzard that was October and November, publishers are winding down the year with only a handful of releases in December. Still, a month that features Far Cry 3 and Hawken can't be completely forgettable, can it?

  • The inauguration of President Barack Obama has made this a historic week in America, but TalkRadar is happy to ignore all that in favor of what really matters: talking about videogames. This week’s podcast is devoted to chatting about games we wish would be announced for US release this year, long-forgotten skateboarding games and Chris’ uncanny ability to mimic voice samples from Genesis/Mega Drive games.

  • Have you ever heard someone say, “sometimes words aren’t enough?” That person was probably talking about books. Yes, books may seem like nothing more than a primitive ancestor to videogames, and in some ways, they are. Books are linear, non-interactive, and require little to no skill to write. They might even be obsolete today if it weren’t for people with no reflexes. But books aren’t entirely without merit, because occasionally they're adapted into some really great videogames

Join us as we descend Jacob's ladder through the circles of hell, into the belly of the Game Over beast.
  • Unlike our beloved Duke, not all games wither and die when they get stuck in development limbo. While the majority of titles that undergo drastic changes or lengthy delays end up performing oral acts on donkey’s groins, some survive the pre-release purgatory smelling of roses. Well, more ‘gameplay that’s not shit’ than roses, really. So without furthing rambling, here’s a bunch of games that survived development hell and lived to be damn decent titles.

  • It's a huge month for warring gods, space marines, tomb raiders, and Pinkerton agents. See why you'll be spending most of March indoors in our rundown of this month's new releases...
