Pre-Microsoft/Halo Bungie developed real time tactics series Myth had unique art work for both victory and lose screen for each level. The lose screen art usually involved the horrible deaths, torture and desecration of your troops, hero or local population, all the while listing names of fallen soldiers with dreaded and dark music on top.

Arkham Asylum/City definitely have the best, especially when you fail the Riddler's Revenge challenges and he talks down to you. So demeaning. So awesome. I love Riddler.

Tales of Vesparia's "... and they were never heard from again," is quite the bummer, especially knowing you love the characters.

No Disgaea 3 ? The screen was pretty normal but the song... I have no idea what is sung since it's in Japanese but it sounds like they are taunting you really bad
