Game of Thrones' Sophie Turner says "not all of us" will make it to season 8

Game of Thrones is nearing its endgame, and while that will likely lead to excellent drama it also means that we'll be bidding farewell to a few characters long before the end credits roll for the final time.

Of course, Sophie Turner - who plays Sansa Stark on the show - didn't divulge exactly which fan-favourites aren't going to make it to the series' final episode when she spoke to Variety, but she did confirm that not everyone would make it to season eight:

"It’s quite sad. It really feels like things are wrapping up and coming to an end… People are hanging around Belfast a bit longer to be around each other and be in each other’s presence… We’ve got one more season…well, not all of us".

There's plenty of characters Turner could be referring to with those comments - not least of which is Jon Snow, who doesn't have the greatest relationship with Sansa at the moment - but for my money, the person most likely to die in season 7 is Cersei Lannister. With Dany and her vast army now making their way to Westeros (finally!), her tenure as the Queen of the Seven Kingdoms could be very short-lived.

That's all speculation on my part, but we can most definitely expect some show-altering deaths when season 7 of Game of Thrones debuts in summer 2017.
