Game dev arrested in botched police raid - video

Indie developer gets raided in marijuana mix up

Words: on March 9, 2010

You don't get a story like this every day - a team of game developers accidentally arrested at gunpoint by the police, after they were mistakenly believed to be breaking into a medical marijuana store.

Check out the YouTube video which shows the arrest caught on CCTV:

The team in question were Denver based Illfonic, currently working on Ghetto Golf, a bizarre blend of 'third-person combat, sports gameplay and comedy'. The mix-up occured because Illfonic’s studio is located next door to a medical marijuana store.

After an alarm went off in the store Denver police responded to what they assumed was a break in - unfortunately they piled into the wrong building and mistakenly arrested the Illfonic developers.

Notice how everyone of the cops had a big gut and would not be able to chase anyone ???? Is there no fitness standard anymore ??
