Game Critics E3 Award nominees announced, BioShock Infinite and Uncharted 3 lead the pack

The Game Critic E3 2011 Award nominees have been revealed, and it appears BioShock Infinite, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception and Batman: Arkham City are the titles that made the biggest splash with the gaming press at the latest E3 event in June. This list of 'best of' E3 hopefuls was compiled with input from 35 gaming publications across the industry (GR included), and includes numerous nods to Rocksteady, Irrational Games, and Naughty Dog's upcoming sequels, as well as recognition for other notable E3 titles; all which are up for one of 17 Game Critics Awards later this month.

GamesRadar has received its ballot for the Game Critics E3 Awards and will be submitting our votes tomorrow. See if you can find your favorites below:

Bioshock Infinite isn't an original game. It's in a series. I don't care what anyone says.

Oh I really hope Zoom for Kinect wins best hardware.

Because the developers said Infinite is separate from the first 2 Bioshocks, it was only called such because a lot of the gameplay mechanics are similar. Or something.

For me best of show comes down between Batman, Uncharted, and Skyrim. Really you can't go wrong with any of them. Intereseting that they went with Bioshock over battlefield in the best of show category

Skyrim vs. Mass Effect 3 for best rpg...a hard choice indeed.

no matter who wins or looses, I'll be buying Batman: Arkham city, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, Tomb Raider, Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Street Fighter X Tekken, Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online, Journey and Super Mario 3D from the games above so yes, vote for them!!

Why is Bioshock infinite considered an Original Game?
  • Turkeyboy094 - June 22, 2011 9:58 p.m.

I think a game can be orginal even if it is part of a series. You wouldn't say Irrational made something creative and or original with their new concept of the skies?
  • icedoesnthelp - June 22, 2011 9:41 p.m.

Sorry but how is BioShock Infinite in the best original section (which if I am correct is your "best new IP" section), when its part of a series?

Bioshock and Arkham City where best of show for me, didnt care for battlefield 3 simply because they showed it on a high end PC running maxed out and the tank level they showed was very boring. Skyrim looks very good too, just never been into the whole magic, knights, kinda thing but skyrim might change that, and making the dragons dynamic and completely random is genius!

That "Best Motion Simulation Game" seems like the real category to watch. But seriously, all these games nominated deserve whatever praise they get. The only thing that looks weird is the nomination for Bioshock Infinite under "Best Original Game"
