Logo And Synopsis For Pixar’s Monsters, Inc Sequel

And here’s what the press release has to say (not a lot, to be honest): “Mike Wazowski and James P Sullivan are an inseparable pair, but that wasn’t always the case. From the moment these two mismatched monsters met they couldn't stand each other. Monsters University unlocks the door to how Mike and Sulley overcame their differences and became the best of friends. Screaming with laughter and fun, Monsters University is directed by Dan Scanlon ( Cars , Mater And The Ghostlight , Tracy ) and produced by Kori Rae ( Up , The Incredibles , Monsters, Inc ). The film opens in US theatres on 21 June, 2013, and will be shown in Disney Digital 3D™ in select theaters.”

Release Dates For Dark Shadows & Journey 2
Warner Bros has revealed that Tim Burton’s big screen remake of ’60s supernatural soap Dark Shadows starring Johnny Depp as a vampire (which you may be excited about) will be released on 11 May 2012, while the sequel to Journey To The Center Of The Earth , Journey 2: The Mysterious Island (which you may not be excited about) is out on 27 January 2012.

Legend
Nope, there’s not a remake of Ridley Scott’s fantasy film in the making. Instead, CBS films has announced that Jonathan Levine ( The Wackness , 50/50 ) will be directing a new SF films called Legend based on an upcoming book by Marie Lu. Legend takes place in Los Angeles over a hundred years in the future, when North America is split into two warring nations. Day, a Robin Hood figure who happens to be the nation’s most wanted criminal is being hunted by a teenage prodigy called June. The pair are caught in a game of cat and mouse until an impossible truth about their totalitarian leaders forces them to work together.

Spider-Man Trailer

Nope, not Amazing Spider-Man , sadly, but rather one designed to make us forget all the bad publicity about the Broadway musical, Turn Off The Dark , and look forward to the new, improved, retooled, probably more health and safety-conscious version instead:
