Frances O'Connor signs on for The Conjuring 2

The Conjuring 2 continues to flesh out its supporting cast, with THR reporting that Frances O’Connor has joined the horror sequel. The Mr Selfridge star will reportedly play a desperate mother whose daughter is being haunted. Join the queue, dear…

Loosely based on the events of the Enfield Haunting, the film will follow a 1970s case in which a London home was the subject of supernatural shadiness. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will return as the real-life paranormal sleuths Ed and Lorraine Warren. Presumably, O’Connor’s character will be their latest luckless client.

The new film will be penned by the screenwriters behind the original, Chad and Carey Hayes, while James Wan will also be back behind the camera. The Conjuring 2 will spook its way into cinemas in the US on June 10 2016 and the UK one week later.
