Racing Tip

When approaching a corner let go of the accelerator and drift while barely tapping the brake. You will come through with more speed rather than slowing down a lot and being passed!

More Money Exploit

Everyone knows about the Jetta money trick. This glitch also works with the Corvette Z06 and the Nissan Silvia and robably any car you can do an engine swap on. The Corvette gives you quite a bit more cash than the Jetta, though.

Drafting Hint

A good way to gain speed is to race right behind another car so there is less wind resistance and your car will become more aerodynamic.

Xbox | Submitted by Patrio7

General Hints

When racing in career mode you can adjust the difficulty by changing certain options,

Turn off traction control (TCS)

and stability management (ASM)

but leave anti lock braking system on (ABS)

I like to race with normal difficulty opponents

turn off recommended line

being a lamer I go for limited damage rather than full damage as the AI cars play a little rough.

also i cheat a little and turn off fuel usage / tire wear.

from this small selection you find that the prize money from each race [provided you don't damage your car too much] to be at a nice level. also keep a hold of your prize cars, these freebies can help you with further races you unlock.

Easy Money On Xbox Live

It has been reported that an update on Live fixed this glitch.

First of all you must have Xbox Live to do this. Get as many people into an event as possible so you can get the max amount of money. Go to Test Track Oval and put it on 1 lap. Start the race and make sure every one crosses the starting line. Now the host of the game and only the host should press pause and quit to the lobby. Go to game options and change the number of laps to 75. Now wait for the rest of the party to finish the race, but don't quit! When the racers finish they will get the money for doing 75 laps when they have only done one. The winner will get between 300,000-400,000, but if you turn the difficulty up you can get up to 699,796.

Free Money Exploit

It has been reported that an update on Live fixed this glitch, but it should still work on stock Xboxes that haven't connected to the Live network.

To get lot of money without racing, buy a VW Jetta VR6 GLX. Go to the buy upgrades section and then the engine upgrades sections. Buy all of the upgrades (every level in every section) but do not buy the upgraded engine. After you have purchased all of the upgrades, buy the other engine for the car, then install the stock engine. Now sell the non-stock engine. If you do this correctly you will be able to buy the other engine for about 2,500 CR and sell it for around 45,000 CR.

At this point you can repeat the buy engine/equip stock engine/sell engine.
