Question 21: What game did you always hog?

From Atomicred, whose name I hilariously mispronounce on the cast.

Idea is, what game would you keep all to yourself? As in, no one can borrow it, or even if it's two player you never let the other person join in. Alternatively, it could be a game that you're terrified of someone ruining your only save and therefore you refuse to let others taint it.

Our answers sometime Friday on T-Dar 37, which I must say has a very giggly second segment.

Battle Network 3 White,
I was playing it one day during school, and one of my female friends asked if she could play cause it looked cool, and I was like eh sure..
But obviously seeing as how women can't play games she didn't know what the **** she was doing, and was like THIS ISN'T MEGAMAN?! She didn't know what a true megaman game was... Battle Network is the megaman to beat them all :/

Plenty of those instances

Any of the Tekken Series!
My dad would buy each new one, and in the course of one all-nighter I'd have everything unlocked!
(4 other people that play mind you)

:D

Super Smash Bro's Melee. Borrowed it from a friend for week's at a time, then whenever I played with him I would just sit there and whoop his poor behind.

Pretty much everything from Mid-PS2 era on, when I actually owned the system,, not my brother, I was calling the shots. I was, however, rarely a hog. My momma taught me how to share.

I always hogged the original Paper Mario. Living in Iowa, where every1 lives 2 ******* blocks away from everyone else, we often just swapped and borrowed each others games because we're all 8,9,10 ect. I ALWAYS had ppl wanting to play it, but since had beaten, I just kept playing so i could collect every badge... so I was taking no goddamn chances with any1 erasing my save, and so I took the spot as the most hated kid in town... ahhhh good times.

and TSR, MMBN ftw!

I used to play the original crash banidicoot for ps one non stop. I freakin love that game. My sister is a year older then me and that was like the only game she was even interested in but I had to fight to keep it away from her. I even went as far as telling her my playstation was broken and than I had to play it secretly in my room. When she found out I was lying it didn't go over well

I was the youngest in me fam, so sharing was never fair...Never equally distributed throughout...If I got a new game, my brosephus would muscle his way in and play...I was scrawny growing up so I couldn't really do anything...

I always had to watch rather than participate...Until I got my own room and system, I was in the background...

But no more!!

I wouldn't trust my friend with Chrono Trigger.

It's one of the few reasons I still have my DS, and he'd definitely loose it, or save over my file.
And then, I would much rather play Fallout 3 myself, rather than watch my friends play it, mainly in fear of them not sharing appreciation for the game that's sucked up so much of my time. :/

EDIT:

Wait, which game did I always hog. Let me think then...

I never used to let my friends play Turok: Dinosaur Hunter. And really the second one too. The multi-player in Seeds of Evil never beat Golden Eye's, and for Dinosaur Hunter, well, there was no multi-player, plus you couldn't let your friends play, when you were busy fighting... semi robotic T-rexes.

I hogged the original Phoenix Wright back into virginity (by hogging the **** out of it!...guys? don't run guys...). It was really hard because a friend was trying to beat it and I had just barely started, but i'd be constantly stealing it and calling dibs and playing it and scaring a whole bus full of Canadians by shouting 'OBJECTION' when it was just a BIT too quiet. Oh, but that's what life is all about...

It was:
Goldeneye
when i first got it, you could come over and play MP, but i would kick you out if you even mentioned how much did it cost. this game I hid from my older brother in fear he would lend it.

Similar to TSR's story.

Super Mario 64. I had it running on a PSP emulator, (I own the original cartridge!) and had everything completed, all 120 stars and 99 lives. One of my female friends at school asks if she can play, and I let her. I start her off on the first level and leave, assuming she can handle it. I come back, and somehow, she had reduced my lives count to 62. Thats 37 lives gone in less than 5 minutes, on the first level. I've never let anyone use my PSP since

Wow I guess the only games that I seem to hog the TV with before was the Final Fantasy series. FF7 chewed up about 100+ hours and FF9 about 40+

I only hog when the person (girl) isn't playing the game right. Or when I've solved the puzzle already and the other person(everyone) hasn't.

For me, the worst consequences I ever had from hogging a game was in High School, my parents were out of town, and I was playing house with my first girlfriend.
I was trying to get her into Tomb Raider 2, and all she wanted to do was go to Laura's bed in the mansion level and jump up and down on the bed. She thought it was the funniest thing in the world, to jump on a virtual bed.

Well, I finally wrest the controller from her, because I told her I wanted to show her all the other cool things in the game. And I started playing, for like 30 minutes before I realized that she was pissed off at me, sitting there cross legged, lower jaw firmly set, arms crossed.

I should have been guaranteed sex that night.
But I couldn't help it, she was playing it wrong!
Which was an argument she didn't buy.
