Question 17: What's the sickest you've been and still gamed?

As in, you're so goddam sick you really should be sleeping or dying, not playing a game.
But you can't. stop. playing.

I have ulcers, so when I get the stomach flu I am close to death.... At least it feels that way.
I got what I thought was a stomach infection, turns out to be a flu of some kind. All I know is that I had a temp of 106, and I had to spend a day in a hospital. The next day I got home (heavy medicated), I still had a temp of 106, and played Pokemon silver for about 10 hours in bed.

Ha, good question!
Me:
I just got Morrowind:Game of the Year Edition for Xbox (Complete/ Non Platinum hits version thank you very much..) Played it the night I got it, and went to bed. ...wake up few hours later. Puke-->Puke-->restless-->Sneeze-->Puke-->Etc.
Somewhere around 6AM before school the next morning I finally convinced my mom to let me stay home. After laying in bed but not sleeping she FINALLY went off to work. Immediately dragged myself and a blanket/pillow to my Xbox and played the HELL out of this game. Think I stopped around 5:30/6:00 PM Though its kinda hard to play "nonstop" when the bathroom calls your name every 30 minutes...
Good game!

recently I was really sick and my friend came over and we just played co-op games all day. We played Gears of War 2 horde mode and campaign for about 4 hours and DOOM for 3 hours. Eventually I passed out while watching Frisky Dingo later in the night.

Ive never been "im about to die" sick but its close enough I had a high fever, i felt like if three trucks ran me over because my bones were as sore as heck i couldnt even move. My head felt like it was about to explode, and my skin felt like it was being cooked. I have no idea what game it was, but if you ever had a fever you know just looking at a screen will make your eyes feel like there bleeding.

aw, leave it to me to suck... Chicken Pox, i think this was back when I had a Genesis and i spent ALL of a long time trying to walk Pete in Earthworm Jim. Then I played Gargoyles... Tried to put up with the water levels in Sonic 3 Beat Sonic 1 Snuck in bouts of the Mortal Kombats I wasn't supposed to be playing Honed my skills at college Football and got a respectable distance into Aladdin.
Hey, I was holed up for a week. Don't even make me MENTION my game boy.

I've never really gotten sick before, at least not to the point where I felt like I was going to die. The worst I've ever felt while gaming was about two days ago. I rode the school bus home after High-School and was playing Patapon 2 Don Chaka. I was in the middle of an intense battle and missed my stop. I swiftly realized this and got off at the next stop. I live in Alaska, and currently, the tempurature is around 15 below. I didn't have gloves or a hat and I had to walk about a half-mile to my house. I was still playing because, even in the sequel, you still can't pause the game. After about five minutes of walk-gaming, my blood felt like it was slush and my legs felt like they were going to shatter from the impact of walking. My fingers were so stiff I could barely keep the Fever going. Eventually I made it home and finished the mission. (Long story, I know)

I remember back in 1992 playing Final Fantasy Legend 2 for the Game Boy and standing over the toilet and vomiting down into it. Before any jokes are made, no, the game didn't induce the vomiting. I actually really enjoyed the game. I remember I had one hand bracing against the wall and the other hand gripping my Game Boy as the bile gushed forth.
I have another story that's disgusting and borderline embarassing. I'll tell it if enough people are interested.

As do I.
Back, four years ago, when the first Guitar Hero came out, I had an eye surgery. I have a lazy, eye, so we were trying to correct that (though it only slightly worked). I had to stay inside, because the surgery had made my eyes so sensitive, if I went outside, I would literally go blind. My mom got me guitar hero and hand delivered it to me so I could keep myself busy. Beat all 4 difficulty levels in 5 days. I shamed all of my friends skills later that summer.

First post!
Anyway, my sickest gaming experience was during the Christmas holidays in 2005. My whole family got sick at once with this really nasty flu. I had just got Ico, and I was gonna beat it no matter what, so I played while I puked horrible black shit into a bucket.
When I beat it, I stood up to put it away, but I guess the motion was too much and I puked all over my PS2 and the case. To this day that case has a subtle whiff of stomach acid.

I battled my way through a very robustly-scented case of explosive diarrhea while playing DDR.

Not exactly sick but I got scratched in the eye by a cat. His claw went into my eye and there was a hole in my eye. I have pictures somewhere might dig them out. But they put loads of gloopy eye drop stuff in my eye and put an eye patch on. I was playing Call of Duty 4 like a crazy one eyed mad man.
I've sat on the toilet having the shits whilst playing Minish Cap too.

I had Appendicitis, I was in the Hospital, it was minutes before my surgery but I would not move till I got the last star in Super Mario 64. I ended up losing my surgery time and had to wait another 3 hours for my surgery. But I got my Fu*king star.

I had a throat infection after a tonsilectomy, and was barely able to swallow. I was dehydrated, and there was plenty of talk about putting me in the hospital to push fluids. Which was probably one of the reasons I was playing Super Mario Sunshine.

It was when I was about 6-7 years old, and I got this weird mystery illness that meant I couldn't eat anything without throwing up... And I mean, anything. Except... Toast. That was all I could eat. Weird as hell, I know...
But I got into so much trouble for sneaking upstairs to find my gameboy, and dedicate the schooltime that I was missing to completing Super Mario 2: Six Golden Coins. It was about halfway through my sickness that that stupid-ass bubble level had a secret ******* doorway to another world, when my Dad caught me, and told me off, hella loads, and sent me to back to school the next day. 2 days later, though, I had that game beat. Good thing that one didn't go the same way as Pokémon. That I'll never forget.
