Posting podcast TOMORROW just so you know.

So, what's the biggest loss you've suffered in games? I don't mean like "my girlfriend left me" I mean more like "I lost my entire hard drive and all my save games" or "some bastard stole my DS"

Our answers tomorrow!

Funny you ask, something happened last week. I've had my franchise, strong and going for Madden 08 for a couple of months now. I was around my nineth or eighth season with the Packers, and wouldn't you know it: Corrupt Data. God damn memory cards.

I just answered a similar question, but seeing as this is an "official" question.

I recently lost all of the files on my PS2 memory card. The biggest thing that sucks about that is I had unlocked all of the songs in Rock Band, Guitar Hero 1-3, and five DDR games that I have. The last one is actually the most painful, since my exercise regime involves me playing DDR for 30 minutes everyday, and now that I only have half the songs again, it gets more redundant.

On a related note, by other big gaming loss would be about 40 pounds thanks to DDR.

Someone stole My PSP Right out the my locker at the Y. It had a 4 gig stick with alot of really good music, and a copy of Tekken Dark resurrection. AND IT WAS THE GOOD PSP!!!! THE FIRST ONE WITH NO DEAD PIXELS!!!!

That and

In GTA San` Andreas, If you use to many cheats the story cuts out right near the end. Stupid mad dog (or whatever his name is) Keeps committing suicide. Course After that I only used a few cheats so I could at least beat the story. Then right at the end of the story My bud's sister knocks over my PS2 and break's my copy of GTA SAN..... I eventually beat it when it dropped in price.

I completed 99 fares in a row in Vice City, and was on my way to deliver the last one. The power went out. I lost all those fares.

Once my brother "accidently" deleted my upwards of 50% completion save file on Donkey Kong 64. Took me while to get back to where I was, but at least the game was fun enough to make it not entirely miserable.

While playing KOTOR, I was on Kashyyek(???) and the game crashed, I lost my save and had to go through the whole game over again.

The first xbox game I got was Amped2(snowboarding game). I played the shit out of that game and then let my firend borrow it, the numbskull broke it. I still have the cd.

On my first N64 (I broke at least 3 of them in rage) I was playing the shit out of rouge squadron, and on the last level on the highest fuggin difficulty my N64 froze and never came back, Instead trading it in I had a party in the backlot of a repair shop where my dad worked, and we ran over the little shit with a steam roller. I wish I had pictures

I went back to play pokemon red a few months ago only to discover my saved game decided to delete itself. Life shattering it was. That was my childhood all those hour all those pokemon lovingly brought up to level 100 :(

Also the time my Link's Awakening copy went through the washing machine was a near loss. I learned that it was in there before the end of the cycle (remembered I'd left it in my trousers). All I could do was nervously await the end of the cycle to see what remained. It had survived accept the label. It works and I have it to this day.

I lost my Game Boy on a family trip to Colorado. We were on some stupid train ride and my Game Boy was stowed above us on some rack. It then fell through a crack in the rack and was hanging for a couple seconds (it was attached to headphones that were still attached to the rack) and then came loose and swung out the window into the forest. To this day I imagine a little squirrel trying to play Super Mario Land 2, but unable to because there is either too much or not enough light.

It wasn't until a couple months later, when my appendix burst and I was in the hospital that my parents bought me a new one. All it took was a near death experience.

In one of the older Tony Hawk games, I was doing this REALLY hard mission, and had my heart set on getting it. But it was so damn hard to do! After like an hour of working at it, I was so pissed off, I was breakin stuff, but I finally get to were Im going to finish with time to spare, and once the congratulatory cutscene began, the game froze. I waited for HOURS pleading with my PS2 to come through for me, but it didnt, and to this day I have never played that game again.

i put upwards of 50 hours into forza motorsport 1 and was at level 48 or something and had almost every car and almost every race and then the game just stopped working. for no reason it just stopped playing the x-box just stopped playing any games. turns out the lazer broke and thats almost impossible to fix. O and my hard drive broke on my becuz my friend was spinning round in the office chair and hit the tower which caused a mechanical error so i lost all save data and install stuff for more then ten different games.

All my saved files for Super mario RPG a=right before the final boss. I almost had an epileptic fit when I realized what happened.
