Question 12: What game conjures up birthday memories?

This must mean... T-Dar 28 is nearly upon us!
Question - games that you now associate with your birthday. Maybe one came out on your birthday and you've always remembered it, or one game you really really wanted was finally gifted to you on one of your birthdays.
Doesn't really matter. Just any game that makes you think of your birthday.

I remember getting Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 for my birthday years and years ago. I then proceed to play it for 14 hours straight.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUUU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO--" "GO AWAY! I'VE GOT THREE MINUTES TO KICKFLIP ALL THESE DAMN BUMS! AHHHH!"
As a side note, Dave Matthew's Band's Live In Chicago album was recorded on my 11th birthday.

It wasn't a game I got, but a game I gave my friend for his birthday, Enter the Matrix. We were young and stupid and obsessed with the movie, and needless to say they aren't very good memories.
P.S. Speaking of birthday's, did you get my card yet Brett? I sent it to the Future U.S. building in South SF, which I believe is where the GR offices are. I only sent it a couple days ago though, so it'll probably take a while to get from Rhode Island to San Francisco...

I think I was four or five and I opened a gift and it was the original gameboy, with The Lion King, and a gameboy printer. I was ecstatic.

My one video game related b-day was 2002. Kingdom hearts and Tekken 4 came out a month before my b-day. I got Kingdom hearts From my parents, Tekken 4 from my sister, my grandparents got me a new PS2 (My old one broke), and my buddy got me Tekken Tag (and 3 bags of beef jerky).
Now whenever I play ether Tekken 4, or Tag I think of my old house the day of my birthday. The smell of the new ps2, Moving that heavy ass TV to replug the ps2. Follow that with a snow storm that almost shut down school, and a Beef jerky induced coma........ good times.
Then a month after my B-day Kingdom Hearts consumed my life for a few weeks........ GOD I LOVE VIDEO GAMES!!

i remember when goldeneye came out and i was asking for a nintendo 64. so i, being a ******* asshole little kid that i was, tried to snoop around the garage late at night (a full week before my birthday) to see if there were any surprises. using my amazing detective skills, i found a 64, and a copy of goldeneye.
...so i could just play it for a bit, then put it back in the box, and no one would be the wiser, right? wrong. i took that game out and played it all throughout the night, until my mom came in telling me i had to go to school...when she saw me playing the shit out of my birthday present. oh man!
and that's when she hit me.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. I remember it coming with my Super Nintendo on my 11th birthday. It was the first video game system and game that was actually mine, meaning I didn't have to fight my brothers to use it like the Nintendo.
Ironically, even though I, and many others, regard this game as one of the best games of all time, I was actually not that happy to receive it at first. I was mad that my SNES didn't come with Super Mario World, and instead came with a "stupid, boring" Zelda game. Of course, then I played it. Everything I remembered about the original Zelda had been vastly improved, and I had a lot of fun.
Link to the Past is also associated with my old best friend's birthday, where he had a sleepover birthday party and we all played it through it over night. I personally didn't make it through the night, but I remember waking up to see those glorious credits playing.

When I was a kid, I never got games on my birthday. They were always a Christmas thing, but that did mean I got like 10 games on Christmas morning.
The first birthday I got a video game on was my 15th, and I bought it myself, and it was Final Fantasy VII.

The first Spider-Man film game for the Gamecube. I got that and another game but I have no idea which the other one was. Spider-Man was obviously that damn good. Actually thats the only game I can actually remember getting for any of my birthdays I've gotten many better ones obviously but I couldn't tell you which games from my collection I got on my birthday except for Spider-man :(
Also Super Smash Bros brawl came out on my birthday this year but I was to busy being Mr .Socials to go and get it.

My birthday was actually a couple days before Brett's on the 12th, bought COD: W@W for myself. But the only game I actually remember playing to high hell for my birthday was Killer Instinct for 64.
