It's finally official. The sequel to Gears of War is releasing this November.
We just posted the first teaser video and artwork, plus some of our speculation and analysis. Will Dom die in the game? Is the chainsawing now a dueling minigame? Those are just a couple of the theories we discuss.
Are we crazy? Just wishful thinking? What do YOU expect out of Gears of War 2, both realistically... and if you could design the game?

Chainsawing now a dueling minigame?Hell no.

What do i want from it?Vehicles.In Multiplayer.Not every map gets one,But saying they put 30 maps in it,id like to see 10 maps have vehicles,maybe 5
Actually,If they made chainsawing a dueling minigame i predict it wouldnt sell.No copys would ever leave store shelves.
I saw what everyone else saw,However i think they did that just to show that its a long way away and if people dont like whats going on its gonna be changed.

What we saw in the teaser was nice, and I think a chainsaw mini-game would be pretty sick.
I'd personally like to see them push the envelope with newer special kills, nad a longer campaign mode with more substance in the actual story. Multi-player should stay pretty much the same, with a few tweaks here or there.

I hope they balance out the weapons more and make it better for new players. I got pretty good, but then I stopped playing to play CoD4 and Halo 3. Then the other day my friend was over and wanted to play it so we put it in and got ripped to pieces since we haven't played it in more than 2 months. Also to make the acutal story part of the game more challenging, even on insane the bosses weren't that hard but we'd die when there was a huge swarm of locust attacking us (the level where you're driving the tank/car is almost impossible on insane!). So I guess along with that, make the vehicles segments better. Maybe make it so you can't get shot if you're blind firing, it's a really cool concept but as you can still get shot in the head no one does it anymore, I mean c'mon, obvioulsy the whole point of the blind fire is that you shoot in cover so you CAN'T get hit, but obviously you shoot inaccurately so it's hard to kill someone. Idk there's a lot they can do
I think the best thing the could do is read these forums or make some of their own so peopl ecan discuss ideas.

i want new weapons more and better ones i remember using only the shotgun and the assault rifel
and abaut the chainsaw minigame i would love it the trill of having to win wouldm ake ia berry desent game

and make the the last boss fight less super mega hard

I want vehicles in Multi-player, and a capture the flag type of thing like in Halo! ^_^
I'd put in a feature, after you beat the game, you could play it as an FPS or something!

I think chainsaw clashing will be in GoW2 in story and multiplayer, Dom might die sometime in the story (sad face  he was my favorite character), and I doubt there will be a minigame because that might ruin the affect of its hardcoreness, if ya know what I mean.

Chainsaw duels would be awesome,and finishing moves, even better. It might even force the noobs online to try and kill people differnt ways, other than using the chainsaw. Then again they might chainsaw more.
I don't think Dom will die, maybe he'll take a shot in the face or something but he won't die, he's Marcus's best freind. I just don't see him dying any time soon.
I hope they fix the glicthes online like the crabwalk, you are basically saying you have no skill by glicthing. I can't tell you how many times I have been killed by a crabwalking fagget, that just pisses me off.
And one last thing. I want to play as a locust during story mode. It would be awesome to pop out of the ground and kill some stranded and cogs.

I just want better, lag-less online. The online for GOW was good, but it needs a lot of improvement.
A chainsaw mini game would be great... only for multiplayer, though. The singleplayer would hard enough on insane.

maybe the chainsaw duels will be like the melee sequences in call of duty 3,those were cool.there should be new weapons.oh yes and it would be awesome if you could use a knife.i think dom has one. there should be more types of grenades and a shocking plot twist like dom dieing or something.

yeah i am positivly sure there will be a chainsaw mini game it was to unfair, i also hope they do it with shoty's to cause you shoot at each other and hit each other and one of you die out of the blue pretty gay eh, and i dont really care for main story just bring on the multi-play gore!!!!

Hopefully the chainsaw sequences will be just like in the teaser. I would like the online to stay, just add CTF like someone said above. Oh and Annex better count towards the Seriously achievement if they have one again.
The single player I would want to play against that dinosaur thing we didn't get to go against in the last game. A new weapon or two would also be nice.

I think Dom will die, but at the end, unless they're making GOW into a trilogy, in which case would be sweet! I also want vehicles (campaign and multiplayer), more gun variety, and the chainsaw battle. Plus there should be no more car with a UV gun killing krill, I hated that part. A variety of grenades too, I heard that there was going to be a flesh eating grenade, I would like that.

i dont think Dom will die i think its just a suspense build up, and dom said "if" he could of said that just because. anyways what iw ould wanna see is a variety of different weapons and gernades, new enemies...some new gameplay of course, a long campaign...and a custom your character in MP

In gears 2 I think its possible that there will be A mass chainsaw battle mini game so that you can feel the gore...And there will be more blood(hopefully) .also I WANT FIRST PERSON MISSIONS! just to keep my head shots up.

I think chainsaw dueling would be awesome. I hated how you would have your chainsaw out first and the you would get cut into pieces
I don't think they'll cut Dom due to the fact he was the first main character introduced after Marcus plus the fact that Dom is well loved by the gears of war community

I don't think gears should have vehicles in it; it's just not that type of game. Definetly no missions similar to the junker vs. krill segment in the first gears. As for chainsaw clashing, I think it would have to be pretty fast paced otherwise you'll just get shot up by other players in multiplayer when you engage in a duel.
