Modern Warfare 2 PC getting nerfed?

Anyway, i heard some news that Actvision is making the PC version of MW2 a port of the 360 version. Is this true? Because I am mostly a PC Gamer, and don't have 360/

Community Manager Robert Bowling said There will be no mods or dedicated servers for COD Modern Warfare 2 on the PC. Hopefully it gets patched in later.

I've been telling people for years that cross-platform PC/console games are bad news for PC gaming and that the only games you should support are those that are designed for the PC. And every time, the console apologists come out and say how there is no proof that having cross-platform games like this dumbs down the game on the PC.
Well, you reap what you sow.
Me? I've started boycotting any game that isn't PC exclusive. Companies like Stardock provide plenty of PC ONLY entertainment. Entertainment that isn't dumbed down to the point where a neanderthal could master it.
Consoles are designed to allow large corporations to have complete control over your entire device and all of your entertainment. Even just recently, Microsoft announced plans to sabotage people's legally purchased XBox 360s by forcing an update that breaks 3rd party storage devices so that you are forced to use Microsoft's overpriced storage devices instead.
Games for Windows/Games for Windows Live/XNA and all of this other XBox 360 stuff for the PC is nothing but an attempt to do the same on the PC. It's more profitable to eliminate mods and therefore eliminate competition so they can foist overpriced DLC on you.

Yeah, Most time on the PC is community driven, and FREE. The big companies want to put a price on mods and DLC. Like how Valve wanted to make L4D DLC free, yet Mircosoft forces them to make it cost money.
Plus some mods can competently change a game, Like Zombie mode in Counter Strike, Garry's mod, etc; It like putting money on indie music if you want to get on Itunes.

Overall FPS weren't big on consoles until Halo, and now consoles have the larger FPS market share.
So there is no possibility in the future in a patch that there will be dedicated servers or mods?

That's cool, the more they piss off Infinity Ward the better because I like Infinity Ward but I want Activision to loose...

If infinity ward get so fed up of their BS despite the massive funding they probably recieve they let their contract run then jump ship.

Activision/Infinity Ward: This game is going to be great, and there is only one way to enjoy this game in mind. None of the mods or dedicated servers. Besides that means other people make money besides us, even though we don't do dedicated servers at all.

Hopefully Gabe Newell will not abandon us/ or be mind controlled. Gabe was a multi millionaire at Microsoft in the software division before starting Valve.

Don't forget that they screwed us over by capping matches at 18 total MAX....and they made it into match making like on the 360....
