Here's a quick question for you, do you support Power Levelling services for MMOs like WoW, Aion and so on?

I don't, but I'm curious to hear what other people think!

You pay for someone else to play the game for you...how fun!

So you get to buy the game, you get to pay the monthly fees and then you get to pay someone to play the game for you. Sounds idiotic to me.

Say no to power leveling.. They are using third party program to play and that's not right... It's unfair.... If you want to play any MMORPG, just make the right staff... Holy *&*&*

Power leveling makes no sense to me. If your paying someone for gold, to grind rep, or to grind honor that's one thing. But leveling up and experiencing lore is the core of the game. I can't see paying for leveling an alt either.

The worst part of those scenarios is that your have to put your account at risk by sharing login info with a third party. With buying gold your account details aren't at risk, but you still violate the TOS.

Sorry it took me a bit to get back to this one, but yeah, I totally agree with you there WebScud. It would be like me paying a friend to complete Uncharted, or any other game out there that's non-MMO. You'd miss out on all the story and the lore of the game not to mention, you'd have no clue how to use any of the items or skills you acquired in the meantime.

Yeah, never visit links on power levelling sites or gold spammer signatures. A buddy of mine had his account hacked on WoW recently, Blizzard managed to sort it out all for him. The hacker sold virtually everything he had apart from things he'd bought with tokens.

He hasn't ever used a PL service though.

Power Leveling is rediculous because

1:Waste of your money
2:Basically wastes your life for paying the no-life
3:You gotta have fun on the game, not brag about a level or skillz.

Plus, it isn't fun anymore when you get someone to do the work for you... sucks the fun out and then you move on to another game, so you really just wasted like $10 on nothing...

=D

I think hearing someone to level up you character is completely pointless... Why? The answer is very simple. Why the hell do you buy the MMO game, if you have no time to level or you get bored quickly? MMO games are all about leveling. Of course, there is something like end-game, but it is just another nice feature.

If you would play an FPS, you would type a cheat and jump to the last level, cause you do not want to play through all the levels...

How come WOW already blocked China IPs? because most of the power leveling company were from CHINA. I saw that news in Attacked of the show.. I guess all of the games must blocked CHINA IPs.. That's the reason why WOW blocked CHINA ips..

Indeed,

I came across this earlier regarding IP blocking for NCSoft. Looks like they blocked Proxies and someone said Chinese IPs.

I've also found out that Power Levelling services often go hand in hand with Gold sellers :(

Aion is one of the better new MMO's that's come out. I hear loads of people who are having fun despite the botters, gold sellers and so on. A buddy of mine just hit the Abyss levels.
