There's a similar thread over at 1337planet.net, so I thought I'd put one in here. Basically, post whatever books/comics/etc. you're reading at the moment.

I just finished Johnathan Strange & Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke, which was excellent. I'm now reading The Autobiography of My Mother by Jamaica Kincaid.

East of Eden. I'm surprised is has taken me this long to get to it as I love Steinbeck. Only about 150 pages in.

Steinbeck is someone I've never got round to reading properly. I've read The Pearl, which I liked, but that's about it. I really should read The Grapes of Wrath sometime- I'm pretty sure I have that and EoE at home somewhere.

I'm reading The Road by Comac McCarthy. Easily the best book I've ever read.

Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Phillip K. Dick. It's the novel Blade Runner was based off of. I'm almost done, I'll probably read A Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy next. Also I am reading Batman: the Long Hallween by Jeph Loeb

I just finished my complete set of His Dark Materials which includes:
The Golden Compass
The Subtle Knife
The Amber Spyglass
Lyra's Oxford
Once Upon A Time In The North

I'm currently reading Eoin Colfier's Airman. It's a really good book.

I liked the first two, but I didn't enjoy The Amber Spyglass as much. I know they're all 'young adult' books, but TASG was just a bit too condescending for me. Haven't read the other two.

Finished The Autobiography of My Mother. I'm now reading White Teeth by Zadie Smith.

An on line version of the classic hero 'Garth'. It gets updated a couple of times a week.

Just finished JOB: A Comedy of Justice by Robert A. Heinlein! He is now one of my favorite writers and JOB one of my favorite books. It rather reminds me of something Kurt Vonnegut would do... so if you like Vonnegut, I would recommend that you read this book. The beginning and middle kept me interested enough to keep reading - but the ending is possibly one of the most fantastic I've ever read.
