Did you know that if you play Pink Floyds CD Dark Side of the Moon, while watching Wizard of Oz movie, it lines up perfectly. For example, there is always a scene change when a song ends, and the song Time starts when Dorothy walks by a sign that says Past Present Future on it.

Instructions: Mute the TV with the movie in it, when the Lion roars for the 3rd time play the Music CD.
(The lion I am talking about is the Lion thats in all the old movies that is like the mascot of a Production company)

Well Pink Floyd made the Dark Side of the Moon CD in 1970 something (I think) and they were on a lot of drugs back then.....

Not everyone is as smart and well-traveled as you are, Zabu.

You know this.

You will actually want to loop the CD so that it will play through 3 times. It is really kind of cool, a lot of random things line up well. When ever the line "take a knee" is sung, someone is on a knee. And Money starts the second Dorothy opens the door to OZ. Lots of great stuff like that. Though Pink Floyd has stated that none of these alignments were made intentionally. I would have to agree, because planning something like this would be an undertaking!

Despite that this is a very old, and tired trick(?). It is actually quite neat.

i think that it's only the first playthrough that it works REALLY well. It works every time, sure enough, but that was the only one that floored me completely.

This is true, but it does work. This is part of why I believe this was unintentional, but the coincidences are uncanny. I just want to know who has the time to sit around trying to sync movies with albums, really, how do you discover this crap?!?

It never synced for me. Or it did and it just went completely over my head, which is possible.

You've seriously never heard of this? I know there are some bars and venues that will run this. Just look for "The Dark Side of Oz" as it is commonly known. It is worth checking out at least once.

Here is a list of all of the sychronizations

This definitely helps to see everything that is happening.

You would think it would have to be coincidental, its not like in the 70's Wizard of Oz was on VHS and you could just keep rewinding it to make sure everything sinked up. I am a huge fan of both Oz and Pink Floyd and have always wondered if it works. I've heard from people that it sinks up great and then people like Boondocksaint who say it didn't sink. I really need to try it.

Yea I heard about this. Lets play some pac-man at the arcade, score some weed from the school grounds keeper, then go try it.

Like I said earlier, it helps a lot to have a list. There are a lot of things happening, some obvious, some rather obscure. I have to admit, it is amazing how many different things line up. For example, the line "Black and blue" from Us and Them. When the word black is sung the shot switches to the wicked witch (who obviously is wearing black, when blue is sung, the shot switches to Dorothy in her blue dress.
