Weird Al's Alapalooza, and that was probably one of the better CDs I owned in my youth. Oh the early 90's....

Well, my dad has a HUGE amount of albums/CD's, so i pretty much just share them with him, and the first CD he ever got was Thin Lizzy - Thunder and Lightning which was recorded in 1983. Its my second favourite band with one of my favourite songs named after the title, so its an amazing CD. But the first i specifically bought (im only 13) was just a CD with loads of Basement Jaxx (like Daft Punk but not as old school and techno) stuff on it (my joint 4th favourite duo/band!) back in 2005.

Phil Collins "Face Value". In 1990 won $4000 in the lottery. Blew it all on a high end Kenwood CD stereo and had enough left for one CD. I wanted something to really show off the sound quality of my new purchase, and the song "In the Air Tonight" fit the bill perfectly. (Ten years later when all my CDs were stolen in a break and enter the only one that wasn't taken was Face Value because it was in the stereo at the time! So I still have it, sans case.)

I didn't even have a CD player when I got it. I had to listen to it on my Sega CD. And I'll do you one better, too. I also remember what my first cassette tape was. Behold!

NSYNC's self-titled album. Mind you, I was in third grade and it was 1999.

If memory serves... My first CD that I remember owning was Big Shiny Tunes 2. I saved up my allowance for a month to get it. I then realized that with a tape player's record function I could acheive the same result.

First music CD was Nirvana: Unplugged. First CD-ROM- LOOM. That game was so beautiful and the music, voice acting, and graphics still are very what I consider what a PC CD-ROM game should have been.

It was either a Rod Stewart greatest hits album or Nevermind(Nirvana) and The Cars first album (bought at the same time). If we're talking about games, it's probably MDK2 for the Dreamcast. (Note, all my Dreamcast games were pirated so I never had a case) Message was edited by: mEgAzD

Though I had plenty of cassettes before (I think my first was an Elvis greatest hits tape). I looked very uncool taking a giant yellow cassette player to school when everyone else had CD players
