I'm not too shocked. It IS an MMO, after all. Still, my firm belief is that paying to play online is idiotic, and I'm not doing it.

If the game disc is $20, and a year subscription is $40 or less, I'll pay it.
I'll only play it for a year, but whatever.

If it comes out to be $60 bucks for one year, then that is fair, and I'll only play for a year. Any more is just Sony being greedy.
