Rikki Beadle Blair's play about homophobic bullying doesn't quite transfer to the big screen

After touring schools with his play about homophobic bullying in classrooms, writer/director Rikki Beadle Blair now brings this engaging adaptation to the screen.

He plays the proudly ‘out’ teacher of a dance/drama class at a London sixth-form college, whose students are struggling to express their sexualities.

Touted as Skins meets Glee, Fit does feel more suited to the gogglebox than the flicks, despite the formal flair of its to-camera monologues.

Yet, there’s a genuine vibrancy and the championing of sexual diversity and tolerance is heartfelt.
