The first trailer has arrived online for Edgar Wright’s
The World’s End
, in which Simon Pegg’s perennial adolescent persuades some of his old childhood buddies to return to their sleepy home town to complete an epic pub crawl.
12 pubs, 12 pints... The First Post to The World’s End. It sounds straightforward enough, but when Pegg and his mates return to their old stomping ground, things aren’t quite as they remember them.

It’s nice to see that Pegg and Nick Frost have swapped their traditional roles of straight-man and buffoon this time around, although as that fence gag pleasingly reminds us, some things never change...
Directed by Wright and co-starring Paddy Considine, Martin Freeman, Eddie Marsan and Rosamund Pike, The World’s End will open in the UK on 19 July 2013 before reaching the US on 23 August.
