The first in Turkish writer/director Zeki Demirkubuz's Tales Of Darkness trilogy, Fate is an elliptical and austere adaptation of Camus' The Outsider, which sees shipping clerk Musa (an impassive Serdar Orcin) deciding to let fate dictate his life. Shot with unflashy assurance, this intellectually probing film also draws on a vein of sly black humour.
